Favorite Book
When I do take time to sit down with a book, my genre of choice has always been a good travel journal. Some of my favorites are those written by the now sadly departed Neil Peart, more famously known as the drummer in the rock band, Rush. His adventures and style of writing have always appealed to me. If you’re ever looking to see how someone can work through the struggles of life while sharing what could be enough adventure for a lifetime, I highly recommend Ghost Rider, my favorite of all his writings.
Favorite Movie
There are so many choices that could fill this category, but the Princess Bride seems to always top the list. Filled with love, adventure, intrigue, and yes, “kissing”. It covers all the bases. For a (somewhat) more modern take, I do enjoy a good Marvel movie or (almost) anything Star Wars.
Hobbies
Finally, an easy one. Mountain biking. I also like to take pictures and the occasional hike. But did I mention… mountain biking.
Pets
My wife and I have two gray cats, Coby and Raven, who keep things interesting around the house. One girl, one boy. One shy, one always in the way. And both always seeming to be in need of food.
What I love about my job…
I’ve been a graphic designer since I left college in 1994. Why? I love that I get to be creative and work in a field where the work is constantly changing and evolving. It’s why I’ve never thought of doing anything else. The team at Zine has always been fun to work and collaborate with. We’re always pushing each other to make the absolute best product possible for the client. Now that I’ve transitioned to self-employment, I count it a privilege to continue working with them as a contract designer, still doing what I love.
